We act accordingly when transformation took place, after we prayed to have our shortcomings removed, when we are made ready. Bible tells us what to ask for. We are not forced.
I was wondering if at that time, Bible was seen as a series of rigid rules or if Kierkegaard exhorts the Christians to be true to themselves.
Maybe I missed the point of this quote but it reminds me of the “electrochoc” sentences that Jesus used with the Pharisees.
Anyway I need to face this Kierkegaard challenging “provocation” and I so needed to hear it yesterday.

Yes, there is a lot of provocation here from Kierkegaard and I agree, it does remind me of how Jesus used similar tactics
